«Bar­be­cue Chic» in the Swiss embassy in Paris 2012

Ahead of the SIAL trade fair, «Swiss Meat» organised an exclusive networking event in the Swiss embassy. At the «Barbecue Chic» Swiss meat exporters met with French buyers from the Charcuterie industry at a one-off, exclusives event.

On 19 September «Swiss Meat» and the Swiss ambassador in Paris, Monsieur Jean-Jacques de Dardel, held a very special event. A «Barbecue Chic» was organised in the grounds of the embassy as a networking platform for export-oriented Swiss meat companies. The guests included Swiss diplomats, representatives from French politics, agriculture and the economy, along with buyers from the large French retail chains.

The French buyers were impressed by the various Swiss dried meat specialities and the delicacies from the barbecue: matured-on-the-bone prime rib of veal, St. Galler Kalbsbratwurst veal sausage, and our national sausage, the Cervelat. The Swiss companies had their first important contact with buyers in the French market, which they will be able to strengthen at SIAL in late October.

The event, sponsored by «Swiss Meat» was a great success by all accounts. For this reason, we are planning a similar event for the German market in the lead up to Anuga 2013.
